In the Hippo Studio we use Acrylic resist ‘safe’ etching techniques and can work with aluminium, zinc and steel plates. We have facilities for the whole photo etching process from plate preparation to the application of photo emulsion, printing of photographic positives, exposure and printing. We can also prepare a plate with ground for the artist to take away, draw the image onto, and bring back ready for etching.
Using our etching press we can also produce prints and editions from your drypoints, woodcuts or linocuts.
