One Day Linocut Workshop

Our One day linocut workshops are proving very popular so we’ve got another 2 lined up for June & July. They will be hosted by London based printmaker Sam Marshall and will be held on Saturday 20th June and Saturday 18th July.

Here is a selection of photos from the last workshop.

The workshop is aimed at anyone who is new to linocut and also students who have experimented before but who would like to refresh their skills and knowledge.

Over the course of the day you will design a simple black and white print, look at the difference between Japanese vinyl and traditional lino , experiment with different tools for mark making and try out different types of paper. We will also learn how to print by hand and also using a small wooden press.

Time permitting you will also be able to experiment with printing your block in 2 colours. At the end of the day you will have at least 2 prints to take home and will have the confidence and ability to create a print on your own at home.

Find all the details, and book your place, under the ‘Workshops’ drop down at the top of the page.
